wildlife right outside our window
We were thrilled to extend our stay. The serene pool area was surrounded by lush greenery, and the delightful wildlife was a constant entertainment. The staff genuinely felt like family.
However, the odd smell from the sink in the bathroom occasionally disrupted our otherwise blissful experience.

Our stay here was nothing short of amazing. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view that allowed us to enjoy watching wildlife right from our patio. The breakfast options were delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive, even accommodating our needs for an early breakfast. We especially loved relaxing by the pool surrounded by the lush rainforest and listening to the sounds of nature.

Would recommend for a weekend
Spacious apartment, luxurious pool area, our private outdoor sitting area allowed us to enjoy watching beautiful Scarlet Macaws fly overhead each evening while being just steps away from the refreshing pool for a cool-off after a day of exploring.
Nothing all excellent.

Incredible Wildlife and Relaxing Atmosphere!
Our stay exceeded expectations! The spacious room had a beautiful balcony perfect for wildlife viewing—saw monkeys and toucans daily. Breakfast on the balcony was a highlight. we loved the option to dine in privacy. Take the local bus for easy access to beaches—much more authentic than crowded taxis.

The stay at Plaza Yara was fantastic. The room was spacious and very clean, with beautiful decor and a cute view of the forest. I enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds and even spotted a sloth from my balcony. The pool area was lovely and offered a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Every morning, the a la carte breakfast featured fresh fruits and local dishes. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. One downside was the firmness of the beds. they were a bit too hard for my comfort. Also, the tap water was drinkable but not everyone might have that preference. The location was convenient, but the front area felt a bit busy with traffic. Aside from the slight issues with the bed, everything else made for a wonderful trip.

In my wife’s opinion, extra seating around the pool would have been great for families with children.

Had an amazing time with friends! The staff was super friendly and helped us find great local restaurants and the best spots to explore. We loved the gorgeous back gardens and the option of using the gift shop. Just a heads-up that the beach is a hike down a steep path, but it’s worth it for the beautiful nature. Totally recommend staying here!
We encountered a small issue with the parking situation. It's on a busy road and can be a bit stressful backing out into traffic. But honestly, it didn't ruin our experience.
